Fear is one of the strongest emotions a person can feel, and emotions drive compelling stories. As such, authors who can tap into the fears of their readers produce some of the most exciting stories around.
In this free preview webinar for the Annual Horror Writing Virtual Conference, award-winning author Tim Waggoner will teach how fear affects the human mind and bodyâand how to make this work for you in your fiction. This exclusive horror writing presentation will not be covered during the main virtual conference.
Topics covered in this presentation include the psychological aspects of fear, the physical aspects of fear, how fear responses affect the human brain and body, and how the effects of fear impact your writing. Whether you write horror or another genre (did you think fear only exists in horror?), learn how fear can take your stories to the next level.
Waggoner has published over 50 novels and seven collections of short stories, focusing mostly on dark fantasy and horror. Heâs a four-time winner of the Bram Stoker Award, has won the HWAâs Mentor of the Year Award, and has been a finalist for the Shirley Jackson Award and others.
